Its founders received the AIA Gold Medal in 2024 and it has amassed fifteen AIA COTE awards, more than any other studio, along with Texas's first Living Building certification. It works with local materials, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, and embodied carbon and net-zero energy targets for 2030. Its practice links architecture, ecosystem restoration and material honesty.
