01 · Context

What is an EPD and why will you need one?

An Environmental Product Declaration is a document verified by an independent third party that quantifies your product's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle.

Until now it's been a differentiator. With the new Construction Products Regulation (EU 2024/3110) it becomes a market-entry requirement: environmental data —starting with the carbon footprint (GWP)— becomes mandatory within the Declaration of Performance and Conformity, rolling out by product family between 2026 and 2032. On top of that, what already happens today: public tenders demand it and certifications like LEED, BREEAM or VERDE ask for it. The manufacturer who arrives with their LCA done arrives ready the day their category kicks in.

The typical range is between €5,000 and €12,000 per EPD, with timelines of 8 to 16 weeks. It depends on the product's complexity and whether you already have a prior LCA. On the diagnosis call you get a tighter range before any commitment.
Yes. We have a specific plan for manufacturers with a valid EPD who just want to display it in the directory and comparator. You don't need to redo anything.
Yes, after 5 years. We notify you in advance and 360 renews it at a discount because the baseline data has already been collected.
