arquitectura
Copenhague, Dinamarca
A Copenhagen studio pioneering the application of the circular economy to construction through architecture, urban planning and resource-conscious material innovation. At Upcycle Studios they built homes with recycled concrete, reused double glazing and reclaimed decking, saving 45% CO₂ and turning 1,000 tonnes of waste into building material. At Resource Rows they composed the façades with brick panels extracted from demolished buildings, reducing on-site emissions by between 50 and 60%. They have a commercial arm that harvests and produces the reused materials.
Why we chose it
Because they turn demolition waste into building material and quantify the CO₂ saved on each circular project.
