arquitectura
Miami, Estados Unidos
Studio founded by Chad Oppenheim, with offices in Miami (United States) and Basel (Switzerland). It practises an architecture the studio calls 'spiritual and sustainable', integrated into the landscape and attentive to the local climate. Projects such as the Wadi Rum resort in Jordan or Ayla Oasis employ earth, local stone and passive strategies to minimise impact in extreme environments. Its work seeks to merge building and territory, reduce dependence on imported materials and make use of thermal mass and orientation instead of intensive air conditioning.
Why we chose it
Because it designs in harmony with the landscape using local stone and earth and passive strategies that minimise impact in extreme environments.
