Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Vietnamese studio founded by Vo Trong Nghia, a global reference in bamboo architecture and the integration of vegetation into buildings. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, it has built pavilions, restaurants and centres with large-span bamboo structures, such as Bamboo Wing and Grand World Phu Quoc, as well as the House for Trees series, which introduces trees and gardens into dense urban housing. Its work champions renewable materials, natural ventilation and the regreening of cities.
Why we chose it
Because it's a global reference in bamboo architecture and in bringing vegetation back to dense cities through low-impact passive strategies.
