Wallmakers
Kerala, India
Studio of Indian architect Vinu Daniel, based in Kerala (India), focused on earth construction and the reuse of waste. He is the author of the Chuzhi House, built with earth beams and around 4,000 recovered plastic bottles, and of Toy Storey, built with thousands of discarded toys and old tiles. His work uses compressed earth blocks, debris earth and discarded materials to drastically reduce the use of cement and the carbon footprint of construction.
