A German family business founded in 1912 and based in Hartenfels (Westerwald), manufacturer of prefabricated houses with a timber-framed structure (Fachwerk) and large glass façades. Their glued laminated timber post-and-beam system, defined by the Fachwerkhaus 2000 model, combines Bauhaus-inspired lines with the tradition of German timber framing. All components are designed and manufactured at their Hartenfels facilities and assembled on site within one to two weeks. They have a show house centre, HUF Village, with six show homes demonstrating the flexibility of timber architecture.
