Its roots go back to 1952, when Josef Kaufmann opened a carpentry workshop in Reuthe and became a pioneer of modern timber construction techniques. Today they have module production plants in Reuthe and Kalwang (Austria) and in Berlin and Rostock (Germany). Their model is based on intensive factory prefabrication and very short on-site assembly times, achieving cost-optimised modular timber construction.
