Hortum (Garden Hortum SL)
Comunitat Valenciana
An Alicante-based company specialising in timber for construction and outdoor use, with an online shop and showroom in Mutxamel. Although their main line is timber cabins, pergolas, garages and prefabricated houses, they maintain an active branch distributing structural boards and sustainable construction materials to professionals: they distribute the German Elka Strong Board (ESB) in Spain and produce technical, informative content on the material (comparisons with OSB, application guides for sarking roofs and prefabricated houses). They have operated since 2013, ship to Spain, Portugal and Italy, and combine product sales with advice and installation.

Why we chose it
They are one of the few active distributors in Spain of the Elka ESB board — an alternative to OSB with climate-neutral, FSC, PEFC certification and a verified EPD. They also produce technical content (comparisons and guides) that helps technicians and architects decide between OSB and ESB.
