Canarian CEB with social integration: block-making combined with training and employment.
An initiative from Tenerife that manufactures compressed earth blocks (CEB), bringing together material production and social purpose: its programmes combine block-making with training and socio-occupational integration. It revives earth construction in the Canary Islands, where the material is abundant and the tradition already exists, and puts it to work for local projects. It has no environmental product declaration, which is consistent with its artisanal and community-based scale, but its approach adds social value to the environmental value of CEB.
