Amorim Cork Research & Services is the R&D arm of the Corticeira Amorim group, working across all its companies. Successor to the central Labcork laboratory (established in 1983), it carries out research on cork — new products, processes and methodologies —, supports patent registration and industrial protection, and has testing and quality control capabilities. Unlike Amorim Cork Insulation, it does not manufacture product: it is the research, testing and services division that supports the group's business units.
