Description

Montreal-based company that manufactures cement-free concrete blocks: it replaces clinker with steel slag and cures the units with CO2, which remains permanently mineralised in the block. The EPD produced by Climate Earth verifies a GWP of 11.7 kg CO2eq per cubic metre for its blocks, around twenty times lower than the sector average. The technology is already applied under licence in Quebec (Patio Drummond) and Ontario (Canal Block), and the company licenses it to block manufacturers in other markets.
