DescriptionA subsidiary of the French agricultural cooperative Cavac dedicated to bio-based insulation under the Biofib brand. At its factory in Sainte-Gemme-la-Plaine (Vendée), it processes hemp and flax grown within 100 km into semi-rigid thermoacoustic panels such as Biofib Trio (hemp, flax and cotton). It was the first manufacturer to obtain the French Produit Biosourcé label, and its panels have verified FDES in the INIES database, documenting the carbon stored by the plant fibres. It is one of the largest producers of hemp insulation in Europe.
