World pioneer of mycelium materials, founded in 2007 in Green Island (New York), where it operates the world's largest mycelium material production plant. Its MycoComposite platform combines mycelium with residual agricultural fibres such as hemp or kenaf to create packaging and insulation materials that are grown in days, with very little energy, and are 100% bio-based. It licenses its technology to producers on several continents and has demonstrated constructive applications since 2014, when it built towers of mycelium bricks for the MoMA in New York.
