Maderas Siero S.A.

Sawmill and forestry company from Argüelles (Siero, Asturias), with family origins in 1934 and current facilities since 1982. It specialises in chestnut wood, of which it considers itself a European and world leader: in primary processing it produces beams, pontoons and boards, and makes use of the offcuts for pellets. It manages more than 200 hectares of its own certified woodland and, together with its sister company Siero Lam (laminated wood, boards, profiles and flooring, created in the 1990s), commercially forms Grupo Siero, integrating the chain from forest to finished product.
