Description

Company based in Bernardos (Segovia) dedicated to the extraction and processing of phyllite, the local slate whose quarries historically supplied roofing for monuments such as El Escorial. It produces stone for roofing, façades, paving and masonry, with its own quarries and factory. It publishes its own environmental product declaration, an uncommon step in the natural stone sector. Phyllite is a locally extracted material with minimal processing and a service life measured in centuries.

Why we chose it

Because its slate has topped Castilian roofs for centuries and now also comes with its own environmental declaration.

Chosen by Descarboniza. No company pays for what we say about it.
