Naider is a collaborative laboratory for local and territorial development founded in 2004, with offices in Bilbao, Donostia and València. It operates as a think tank and strategic consultancy that supports regional governments, local councils, public agencies, businesses, universities and technology centres in processes of ecological transition, business competitiveness and territorial development. Its offer is built around NaiderLab, a space that combines knowledge generation, proposals, analysis tools and intervention experiences. They are part of networks such as New European Bauhaus, Bilbao Metrópoli 30 and Innobasque, and collaborate on European projects such as SCORE and C-NEWTRAL. Their approach combines analytical rigour (econometric analysis, impact evaluation, strategic planning) with fieldwork on the ground.
Why we chose it
Naider is one of the few laboratories in Spain that combines rigorous economic analysis with real territorial intervention. Their work with Basque public administrations on decarbonisation, urban regeneration and climate adaptation makes them an essential reference for understanding how ecological transition is put into practice at municipal and regional scale. They bring the strategic and institutional layer that Descarboniza needs alongside manufacturers and technical studios.
