Cerámica Sampedro (ECOrec)
Facing bricks and ceramic blocks with GlobalEPD EPD; ECOrec line with recycled material (La Rioja).
Ceramics manufacturer from La Rioja, based in Lardero (La Rioja). CERASA produces facing bricks and ceramic blocks (P piece according to UNE-EN 771-1) and has developed the ECOrec line, ceramics incorporating recycled material, used in Passivhaus social housing developments, such as 62 VPO in Pamplona with ECOrec CITY. A member of Hispalyt, it holds an Environmental Product Declaration verified by AENOR under the GlobalEPD programme for its facing bricks and ceramic blocks, downloadable from its own website, which allows the material's environmental performance to be certified under sustainable building schemes such as VERDE, LEED or BREEAM.
Because it puts recycled material into traditional structural ceramics and brings it to Passivhaus social housing, with an EPD to back it up. Traditional brick, present-day footprint.
Chosen by Descarboniza. No company pays for what we say about it.
Go to their websiteThis material has a verified declaration still in force, but its footprint is not published next to the others: either its reference standard is not the European EN 15804, so comparing them would mix accounting bases, or it does not declare the figure in a unit we can convert. The figure, if any, is in the declaration itself.
DAP sectorial verificada (GlobalEPD 008-017, AENOR, titular HISPALYT — ladrillos y bloques cerámicos para revestir, UNE-EN 771-1; 30-09-2024→29-09-2029): unidad 1 t, RSL 150 años.
