Bauhaus Erde
Berlin, Alemania
German organisation driven by climatologist Hans Joachim Schellnhuber dedicated to transforming the built environment into a carbon sink through regenerative materials such as timber, bamboo, earth and plant fibres. It combines research, design, training and advocacy to redirect construction culture towards the bio-based and circular. It matters for decarbonising construction because it proposes a paradigm shift: moving from an emitting sector to one capable of capturing and storing carbon within buildings themselves, bringing together science, architecture and policy.
