The Catalejo project by Tololo Ugarte is situated in a natural setting distinguished by a group of century-old trees, which act as an oasis on a fertile, seasonally changing plot in Limache, Chile. The house is raised off the ground to allow the natural growth of the vegetation, creating a sense of suspension above a "green mantle". Its orientation prioritises the view towards these monumental trees, integrating nature into the interior through a double-height space and a vaulted ceiling, which frame the landscape and turn it into an essential part of the living space.
