Melbourne, Australia
A ten-storey, 32-metre residential building in Victoria Harbour, Melbourne, completed in 2012. It was the first Australian CLT building and, at the time, the tallest timber residential building in the world. Its 759 CLT panels of Austrian spruce (KLH) were assembled on a concrete ground floor to accommodate 23 apartments, with a 5 Star Green Star rating. Commissioned and built by Lendlease, it opened up the solid timber market in Oceania and preceded the wave of timber towers of the following decade.
