Located in Nakafurano, Hokkaido, House W is a home that reinterprets the relationship between architecture and the Japanese rural landscape. Designed by Florian Busch Architects, this house is integrated into a setting of agricultural fields and open views of the mountains of Furano. With a minimalist design and a structure that plays with light and shadow, the house is raised above the ground, allowing a fluid connection with the outdoors and offering panoramic views. The interior spaces are organised to maximise the sense of spaciousness and calm, using natural materials and a neutral palette that reinforces the harmony with the surroundings. House W is a contemporary refuge that respects the surrounding agricultural landscape, combining structural innovation with an architectural sensibility that engages in dialogue with nature and Hokkaido's extreme climate.
