The "Mother" installation is a sculptural structure that combines architectural design and art to explore the relationship between human beings and nature. Inspired by Richard Mabey's book Nature Cure, "Mother" invites contemplation and shelter. The structure, built with local timber and thatched with straw by local craftspeople, evokes traditional forms reinterpreted with a contemporary language. Its design stands out for its simplicity and organic connection with its surroundings, providing an intimate space for reflection and rest amid a natural landscape. The work emphasises sustainability, employing vernacular materials and techniques adapted to a modern context.
