Londres, Reino Unido
Nine-storey residential building in Hackney, London, completed in 2009. It was the world's first tall building constructed entirely from prefabricated CLT panels above ground floor level: load-bearing walls, floor slabs and even the stair and lift cores are solid timber. With 29 homes, some of them affordable, it demonstrated that CLT was economically and technically viable compared with concrete in dense urban housing, and it is considered the trigger for the international tall timber movement.
