Madergia is a company from Navarre specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of timber construction systems, from its production centre in Oricáin (Navarre). They control the whole process — design, manufacture, supply and assembly — working with glued laminated timber (GLT), CLT, KVH and LVL across residential, industrial and public-use projects. Their works include the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), with over 2,900 m³ of timber products — radiata pine laminated columns and beams and CLT floor slabs — manufactured between Stora Enso and Madergia itself; the Tomás Bretón building in Madrid, the first eco-cohousing in the city centre, where they built the timber structure alongside contractor Woodea and developer Distrito Natural; and Wittywood, in Barcelona's 22@ district, the first tall office building in Spain built entirely in timber, certified LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum. Environmentally, timber works in their favour: replacing concrete and steel cuts embodied carbon and stores CO₂ over the building's life. But it should be stated precisely: as of August 2026 Madergia publishes no Environmental Product Declaration or verified carbon footprint, so that benefit cannot be quantified with their own data.
