Madergia is a company from Navarre specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of timber construction systems, from its production centre in Oricáin (Navarre). They control the whole process — design, manufacture, supply and assembly — working with glued laminated timber (GLT), CLT, KVH and LVL across residential, industrial and public-use projects. Their works include the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), with over 2,900 m³ of timber products — radiata pine laminated columns and beams and CLT floor slabs — manufactured between Stora Enso and Madergia itself; the Tomás Bretón building in Madrid, the first eco-cohousing in the city centre, where they built the timber structure alongside contractor Woodea and developer Distrito Natural; and Wittywood, in Barcelona's 22@ district, the first tall office building in Spain built entirely in timber, certified LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum. Environmentally, timber works in their favour: replacing concrete and steel cuts embodied carbon and stores CO₂ over the building's life. But it should be stated precisely: as of August 2026 Madergia publishes no Environmental Product Declaration or verified carbon footprint, so that benefit cannot be quantified with their own data. Verified against DAPconstrucción, GlobalEPD and the International EPD System.
