Katajanokan Laituri

Helsinki, Finlandia

Office and hotel building at the Port of Helsinki, designed by Anttinen Oiva Architects and completed in 2024, headquarters of the forestry group Stora Enso. Built with solid timber, CLT and LVL, it embodies the manufacturer's own catalogue and has become a showcase for Nordic mass timber. The timber structure stores carbon and replaces emissions-intensive materials, while the low, stepped volume integrates respectfully with the city's historic waterfront.
