Living Places Copenhagen

A set of residential prototypes built in Copenhagen in 2023 by EFFEKT with VELUX to demonstrate that affordable, healthy, minimal-footprint housing is possible with technology available today. The houses, with timber structure and finishes, achieve 3.8 kgCO2e/m² per year, around a third of the emissions of a standard Danish home, without giving up a healthy indoor climate. The project, open to the public, functions as a replicable decarbonisation laboratory for European residential development.
