Kengo Kuma's UCCA Clay Museum in Yixing, China, pays homage to the region's rich ceramic tradition. Inspired by Shushan Mountain and the historic dragon kiln, the design combines forms evoking ceramics in a mountain-shaped structure, integrating the building with its surroundings. Its façade of warm-toned ceramic panels, developed with local artisans, reflects the texture of ceramics. The roof uses a layered timber structure, creating dynamic, deep interior spaces.
