Wood Up Tower

París, Francia

A residential tower of around 50 metres beside the Seine, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, designed by LAN and completed in 2025. It is a pioneer in the structural use of French beech, a local hardwood barely used in structural applications until now, which reduces embodied carbon compared with concrete and opens up a market for Europe's deciduous forests. The project demonstrates that residential timber buildings of this height are compatible with French fire regulations and with dense urban construction.
