A modern reinterpretation of Pyrenean-Aragonese rammed earth, with thick walls providing thermal mass and hygrothermal regulation. Structure combined with local timber. Heating by biomass boiler, a rainwater harvesting and reuse system, and passive solar architecture. Awarded the Terra Award 2016 (International Contemporary Earthen Architecture Award) in the single-family housing category, selected from over 350 entries worldwide. A benchmark for modern Spanish rammed earth and a demonstration of how rammed earth can be integrated with the CTE (Spanish Building Code).
