"The housing cooperative La Borda is a development self-organised by its residents to gain access to dignified, non-speculative housing that places its use value at the centre, through a collective structure. The idea of a housing cooperative was born in 2012 as one more project of Can Batlló, driven by the community in the process of reclaiming the industrial site, and by the neighbourhood and cooperative fabric of the Sants district. The project is located on a plot (VPO, publicly subsidised housing) ceded by the city council for 75 years on Carrer Constitució, situated on a boundary position of the Can Batlló industrial site, with its façade facing the historic urban fabric of the la Bordeta neighbourhood."
