Londres, Reino Unido
A leading British studio in Passivhaus and sustainable architecture, responsible for several of the UK's first Passivhaus-certified schools. Their Hackbridge Primary School, built entirely from timber, helped the school become the country's first genuinely zero-carbon school, with a low-energy palette chosen on the basis of life-cycle studies. Harris Academy Sutton is the country's largest Passivhaus school and the first Passivhaus secondary school, with an airtightness of 0.3 ACH and an estimated 90% saving on heating compared with a standard school.
Why we chose it
Because they combine the Passivhaus standard and timber structure in public facilities, achieving zero-carbon schools with minimal energy demand.
