Londres, Reino Unido
London-based studio of architects, urban planners and researchers. Together with Hawkins\Brown, they signed the Agar Grove (Camden) regeneration plan, a development of 493 homes where 80% is built to Passivhaus standard, the largest development of its kind in the UK. The first phase has already drastically reduced residents' bills, who barely need heating in winter, and delivered 57 homes, 60% of them affordable. They have also built the Sands End Community and Arts Centre. Their work demonstrates that social housing can have very low energy demand.
Why we chose it
Because they scale Passivhaus to social housing, almost completely eliminating heating demand and fuel poverty.
