Barcelona, España
Architecture, urban planning and landscape studio founded in Barcelona in 2013 by Carles Enrich, associate professor of projects at the ETSAB. It works at different scales, starting from a rigorous analysis of what already exists, with particular attention to heritage rehabilitation and site-respectful intervention. Among its works are the recovery of the defence tower of Merola Castle in Puig-reig, a 13th-century remnant, and the recovery of an early 20th-century palace on the Vallcarca viaduct. Its practice prioritises reuse, material exploration and minimal addition to the existing structure.
Why we chose it
Because it understands heritage rehabilitation as the most sustainable path in architecture: intervening as little as possible, reusing, and extending the life of what has been built.
