Ekolution

Ekolution, founded in Sweden in 2013, produces plant-based building materials from hemp grown on its own plantations. Its panels and insulation solutions have an EPD certifying that they are carbon-negative: the hemp absorbs more CO₂ during its growth than is emitted during the production of the material. These panels are made from 100% renewable, recyclable hemp fibres free of toxic substances, and hold European CE and ETA certifications as well as Swedish environmental labels such as Byggvarubedömningen, SundaHus and BASTA. They offer superior thermal and acoustic insulation, are comfortable to install and provide a healthy alternative to mineral wool and other conventional insulation materials. Ekolution expanded its production capacity with an advanced fibre line that allows the hemp to be decorticated and non-woven felts to be manufactured with low energy consumption.
