DescriptionA gypsum fibreboard brand belonging to James Hardie. fermacell boards are made from recycled paper fibres, gypsum and water, pressed at high pressure without any other binders, resulting in a natural, emission-free, high-strength material. A single panel provides 30 % more acoustic insulation than conventional plasterboard and can bear loads of up to 50 kg per fixing, allowing it to replace double-board systems. Thanks to their density and homogeneity, the boards are resistant to fire, moisture and impact, and are used in partitions, ceilings, dry floors, façades or timber construction. The system is biologically tested; the combination of natural resources and the manufacturing process provides durability, thermal and acoustic comfort, and contributes to healthy spaces. In addition to gypsum fibreboards (bevelled edge, Firepanel A1, Greenline, Vapor), the range includes water-resistant Powerpanel H2O boards, floor elements and Therm25™ solutions for dry floor screeds.
