DescriptionFranz Kirnbauer KG (Holzindustrie Kirnbauer) is an Austrian family-run timber company based in Prigglitz, near Neunkirchen (Lower Austria), with a second site in Ternitz. Its origins as a family business go back to 1962, and the current company was registered in 1977; today it employs around 65 people across some 55,000 m2 of facilities. It saws and planes local timber — spruce, pine and larch — and processes it into engineered structural products: glued laminated timber (glulam/BSH), DUO/TRIO beams, finger-jointed solid timber and laminated timber roof and wall elements, for indoor and outdoor use. The company controls every production stage in-house, from log to finished product, and has completed CE marking across its whole range, including finger-jointed solid timber. For the directory it represents short-chain Central European structural timber: local species, fully integrated processing at source, and certified products ready for timber construction.
