    Description

    Hempcrete is a 100% ecological building material made exclusively from hemp hurd, natural lime and water. The hemp fibres mixed with lime form blocks that store more carbon than is emitted in their manufacture (around −75 kg of CO₂ per m³). Its blocks provide thermal insulation (conductivity ≈ 0.071 W/m·K), reduce noise by up to 44 dB and regulate humidity, keeping it between 35–60%, which eliminates condensation and mould. They are also fire-resistant (classification B-s1,d0 for up to 240 minutes), do not rot or attract insects, and allow passive homes to be built with great interior comfort. Vicat supplies the natural lime binder Prompt, fired at low temperature and free of chemical additives, which improves durability and compatibility with the plant hurd.
