La Sureda Cork

Company from Figueres (Girona) specialising in cork for construction: agglomerated cork for insulation, granulates and other formats. The cork is obtained by stripping the bark from the cork oak without felling it, in harvest cycles that keep the cork oak groves and their biodiversity alive, and the resulting material is insulating, durable and compostable at the end of its life. The company operates from the Empordà, a territory with a long tradition of cork harvesting. Environmental documentation pending verification.
