Escuela El Til·ler

A school in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès) designed by Eduard Balcells, Ignasi Rius and Daniel Tigges, completed in 2019. It is organised into domestic-scale timber pavilions that reuse prefabricated structures from former school pavilions, integrated within the existing tree cover. The structural reuse and lightweight timber construction reduce embodied carbon, while the bioclimatic design with natural ventilation and through-lighting lowers operational consumption, bringing the educational facility closer to a minimal footprint.
