Viviendas sociales 2104 (IBAVI) — minería urbana en Palma

Social housing for older people in Palma by HARQUITECTES, completed in 2025, built from the remains of the school that stood on the site. Ceramic and concrete rubble (140 m³) fills the foundation pits and basement walls, and the marès sandstone from the demolition (about 160 m³) becomes some 3,000 cyclopean concrete blocks with lime, saw-cut so the stone shows on the faces. These load-bearing walls carry cross-laminated timber (CLT) floors.
