A publicly subsidised housing development in Palma designed by Ángels Castellarnau, founder of Edra arquitectura km0 and a leading Spanish figure in contemporary earth construction. The project applies km0 logic: locally sourced materials with very low embodied energy, with earth and other natural materials taking centre stage, to reduce the embodied carbon of the public housing. The proposal confirms the openness of the Balearic public housing stock to natural construction systems beyond conventional concrete.
