Cirerers — 32 viviendas cooperativas

A building of 32 co-operative housing units under Sostre Cívic's cession-of-use model in the Roquetes neighbourhood (Barcelona), designed by Celobert and completed in 2022. Its eight storeys of cross-laminated timber (CLT) structure above a concrete ground floor made it one of the tallest timber residential buildings in Spain. The CLT acts as a carbon sink and allowed for a faster, cleaner build; the project combines affordability, energy efficiency and shared community spaces as a model for non-speculative housing.
