140 viviendas sociales en el 22@

An eight-storey building with 140 public homes in Barcelona's 22@ district for IMHAB, by Peris+Toral, completed in 2024: temporary lodgings on the ground floor, affordable rental flats and, on the top floors, homes for older people with laundry, sunroom and community gardens. Each floor gathers twenty homes around a walkway that crosses five courtyards. A large glazed roof turns those courtyards into a bioclimatic atrium that collects solar heat in winter, and entrances are screened with timber lattices.
