La Balma — 20 viviendas cooperativas

Housing cooperative under a right-of-use scheme with 20 dwellings in Poblenou (Barcelona), built by Lacol and LaBoqueria and completed in 2021 on public land. The main structure is timber, and the project relies on passive intermediate spaces, galleries and communal terraces that buffer the climate and reduce energy demand. It combines low embodied carbon, participatory design with the future residents, and a housing access model that is an alternative to speculative buying and renting.
